I was on a thin bus because I missed the other one and when I was in the bus I saw my old friend Zane, we stopped being friends cause he liked me. Then I got a message from my best friend drita who was with her boyfriend, and they had invited Zane and me to try and set up a 2 man, but they invited me to my old best friends house who I was friends with 7 years ago. It was fine it wasn’t awkward. Then my new friend Victoria came round and it was nighttime now, but we were all in my house now, but there was a door in the living room that enters outside where there are flying chairs. Victoria was talking about this boy she liked, I asked who it was and when she was calling him I immediately recognised the voice, it was this boy I used to talk to, we stopped talking because he was growing distant and he was very reserved and not talkative. But when she was on the phone with him, she said all the right things, he was quite at first but laughing and talkative within 20 seconds, he even agreed to come round, they weren’t really talking when he was with her but I was starting at him all night, he didn’t look at me once, until someone dared me to make a joke that I want him and I said it with so much sarcasm, but it was clear he was uncomfortable with it and awkwardly looked away. Him and Victoria were laughing and close together the whole night and I knew that he really liked her, tears were rolling down my face and as soon as I started crying I heard the back door open and close, he left. I wanted to leave to because I couldn’t speak without sobbing because I was so upset I’ve liked him for over a year and he was now with my friend. I was more upset that it was obvious it would never be me.
Dreams can be complex and layered, reflecting our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and unresolved issues. Your dream features themes of nostalgia, longing, and emotional turmoil, which can provide rich insights into your waking life.
Setting and Characters: The dream starts on a bus, a symbol often associated with the journey of life and the various paths we take. Missing the earlier bus indicates feelings of having missed opportunities or timing in relationships. The presence of Zane, an old friend with whom you had a complicated history, can represent unresolved feelings from your past. Your subconscious might be processing the emotional nuances of past friendships and potential romantic interests.
The Invitation: Receiving a message from your best friend, Drita, about getting together with Zane reflects the intersection of past and present relationships in your life. The invitation to your old best friend's house symbolizes nostalgia and perhaps a desire to reconnect with old parts of yourself or revisit former relationships. The lack of awkwardness in this setting signifies that you may be ready to confront past emotions rather than avoid them.
Victoria and the Boy: The appearance of Victoria and the introduction of the boy she likes resonate deeply with your insecurities. Victoria represents a new friendship or perhaps the easier, more carefree social environment you wish to inhabit. However, her connection with the boy from your past brings to the surface your feelings of envy and heartbreak. The fact that he was distant from you but more engaged with Victoria hints at your own feelings of unworthiness or fear of vulnerability in relationships.
The Door and the Flying Chairs: The door leading outside where there are flying chairs could symbolize the unpredictability of your emotions and relationships. Flying chairs may suggest a sense of chaos or overwhelm in trying to navigate your feelings for this boy. It could reflect how uncontrolled emotions can fly out in unexpected ways, perhaps signifying your fear that your feelings could spiral out of control if you're not careful.
The Emotional Climax: As tears roll down your face when you perceive that the boy you like is closer to Victoria, it represents sadness and a fear of lost opportunities. The dream captures the essence of longing and heartache—a very real emotional conflict you are experiencing. Your instinctive reaction to want to leave signifies your desire to escape from uncomfortable feelings rather than confront them.
Conclusion: Overall, your dream highlights a deep emotional struggle involving grief, longing, and the intersection of past and present relationships. It suggests that you are exploring your feelings about friendships, loss, and the intricacies of love. This dream urges you to reflect on how past experiences shape your current emotional landscape and whether you are truly ready to confront these feelings openly. It may be beneficial to engage with these emotions, as only by addressing them can you find a path forward, whether that means rekindling friendships, confronting unresolved feelings, or simply finding peace within yourself.
